Our Students

Kingsway currently caters for about 270 disadvantaged children from Grade 00 through to Grade 7.

Here are a few interesting facts about our students:

   * Our students range in age from 5 to 15 years

   * Their home environments range from informal settlements to domestic quarters, mainly from the       Zandspruit informal settlement and surrounding areas.

   * Some come from abusive homes, some are neglected, while others come from stable, albeit very poor       homes.

   * They are very enthusiastic about school with very high levels of attendance (more than 90% on average)

   * They are positive, loving, happy and eager to learn, but are also typical children - wanting to break out of       the difficult, disadvantaged circumstances of their lives. They are "children in struggle"
