Class Outings
We aim to expose our learners to learning and recreational opportunities outside of the classroom at least once per term. This is essential to achieving a rounded education.
Some of the outings have included: The Planetarium, Gold Reef City , the War Museum, the Hector Peterson Museum , the Botanical Gardens, the Melville Koppies, the Ice Rink, the Movies and the Theater.
We would love to offer our learners a greater variety and frequency of such extra-curricular activities, but need financial support in order to do so. There is an opportunity to donate towards the cost of these outings and, even better, to experience the joy and excitement of the children by being part of the outing.
Highlights of the year include the Grade Seven class 4-5 day 'Bush Adventure" (which has become an exciting tradition over the last seven years) and the end-of-year picnic for the entire school (all 240 children). The costs of these outings are usually carried by kind donors.
